The Environment

At dhrystones print we are care about our environmental impact. We have committed ourselves to minimise our carbon footprint and to operate in an environmentally friendly way. We try to ensure that we choose supply partners who think along similar lines, in line with our environmental policy.

At dhrystones print we believe in minimising any impact by using only papers from a sustainable sources and inks that are purely vegetable oil based. Almost all the Paper and Board we use is sources from FSC approved suppliers.

Our commitment to the environment is just as much in evidence when it comes to our offices, which contain a number of energy saving features, from lights which turn themselves off when there is no one around to toilet which are flushed with rain water.

We also recycle where possible with everything which we are unable to re-use is graded into a range of different categories and recycled or disposed of responsibly. We take a pride in looking at everything we do to make sure it is truly green rather than simply being slick marketing spin.

Key point are:-

• All our papers are sourced from either 100% sustainable forests or are recycled.
• All our papers are manufactured exacting standards and are chlorine free.
• We only use vegetable based inks as opposed to oil based inks. Again a specification is available.
• Paper trimmings whilst kept to a minimum are graded and sorted before being recycled.
• Overprinted waste that may contain client details is shredded in house before being recycling.
• No chemicals are used in the pre-press department, meaning no waste chemicals to dispose of.
